The site is generally centred on 747994.95E, 737121.38N (Ghana WGS84, UTM Zone 30) and sits within the small town of Abetifi, the capital of Kwahu East district, a district in the Eastern Region of south Ghana. The site sits to the south-west of the town and is located approximately 950m from the main highway (Agogo-Mpraeso Road). The access to the site is along a non-metalled road of width 4m-5m with shallow ditches running down both sides of the road. Along the northern boundary, where the site access is made, there are a number of small buildings. The area of proposed site has been calculated at 37.69 Acres (15.25 Hectares).
